Abstract:

This work is devoted to analysis of the problem of legacy information systems. The problem is typical for a variety of industries. Often, the legacy information system may be responsible for the vital processes of the enterprise, and replacement of such a system is a nontrivial task. The problem of legacy systems is considered in connection with the known phenomenon of gradual reduction of the possibilities of technological improvement of a technical system. This research proposes original approaches to solving the problem, some results of the practical implementation in frames of an aviation enterprise are given.
