Abstract:

The non-Abelian anomaly arising in the singlet axial current is considered in the framework of the Dolgov/Zakharov dispersive approach. In this approach the anomaly emerges as an infrared effect and leads to sum rules, which can be related to various processes involving pseudoscalar mesons and real or virtual photons. Using data on transition form factors of pseudoscalar mesons in space-like and time-like regions of photon momenta Q2, we extract the contributions of Abelian and non-Abelian anomalies. We found that non-Abelian axial anomaly has significant impact on the processes at higher Q2 in contrast to the small Q2 limit (real photons), where the Abelian anomaly dominates. We also observe that the anomaly sum rules reveal non-trivial relations between axial and vector channels.
