    Abstract:

    We present the current state of the CORD (Closed ORbit Dynamics) code used in the conceptual design of the MSC230 cyclotron. MSC230 is a compact superconducting isochronous cyclotron for proton therapy, that has been recently proposed in JINR. Obtaining maximum amount of information from field maps without the need to perform time-consuming beam tracking is useful for magnet and accelerating system design. CORD code is providing particle dynamics analysis based on a combination of magnetic field map analysis with electric field map analysis.

    Abstract:

    The report will present the evolution of information technology (IT) design of embedded intelligent self-organizing control systems. The use of such technologies in the problems of controlling complex technical systems makes it possible to increase the robustness of the functioning of control objects in unpredicted and unforeseen control situations. The proposed principal structure of a two-level intelligent control system integrated into TangoControls to control elements of the accelerator complex will be presented.

    Abstract:

    In the talk I will present an example, when we were able to gain significant speed-up of calculating Dirac electron in the field of two-center Coulomb field by using a specially created structure for storing intermediate values. In the second part I will present information how we have solved a problem of compilation and, more importantly, sharing compiled code of mpdroot library which is a base framework for the MPD experiment, part of the NICA project. With the help of the CVMFS and aliBuild we can ensure, that physicists have always access to the latest version of our software across multiple computing clusters and the results obtained during simulations will be reproducible in the long run.
