  1. Seminar topic: “Analysis of nucleon and cluster transfers in 6Li+9Be, 11Li+28Si, 48Ca+197Au reactions based on stationary and non-stationary approaches”

    Speaker: Aidos Azhibekov

    Abstract:

The results of the analysis of experimental data on neutron and cluster transfers in 6Li+9Be, 11Li+28Si, 48Ca+197Au reactions obtained at Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions are presented. In the first part of the report the results of the analysis of experimental data on total cross sections for 11Li + 28Si reaction are presented. The evolution of probability density of the external weakly bound neutrons of 11Li in the collision with 28Si nucleus is described based on the numerical solution of non-stationary Schrödinger equation taking into account the spin-orbit interaction (TDSE approach). The peculiarities in experimental data on total cross section for 11Li + 28Si reaction are explained. Experimental data on transfer of up to 6 neutrons with formation of Au isotopes in 48Ca + 197Au reaction are analysed in the second part. Data were analysed within the framework of calculations using Grazing code and TDSE approach. Experimental data on the angular distributions for 9Be(6Li,6Li)9Be, 9Be(6Li,7Li)8Be, and 9Be(6Li,8Li)7Be channels in 6Li+9Be reaction at 68 MeV energy using the coupled reaction channel method are described in the third part. It’s shown that angular distributions of 8Li nuclei in 9Be(6Li,8Li)7Be reaction channel at forward angles are due to the transfer of a deneutron cluster. Proton transfers contribute to differential cross sections at 60°-100°angles.

  2. Seminar topic: “Report on the work done for the period 2019-2023 and further plans, group No. 2 of the accelerator physics sector of STAD FLNR”

    Speaker: Ivan Ivanenko

    Abstract:

The results of work for the period 2019-2023 are presented. As part of the topical plan for FLNR accelerator complex development during the indicated period the following works were carried out on the projects for creation and reconstruction of DC140, MC400, DC280, U400-U400R cyclotron complexes. A reconstruction of MC400 cyclotron magnetic system including the replacement of the main coil of the cyclotron electromagnet, magnetic measurements and magnetic field correction in order to compensate for the first harmonic and optimise acceleration conditions in the last orbits was carried out. The conditions for injection and capture into acceleration in the central part of MC400 were optimised. Compensation of the vertical beam refocusing during its extraction from from MC400 cyclotron was carried out. Preparation to begin U400-U400R cyclotron complex reconstruction which includes the magnetic system reconstruction, creation of optimal conditions for the injection and extraction of accelerated beams from the cyclotron is under way. Optimisation of DC72-DC140 magnetic system was carried out, elements of the central area and the output system were developed and created as part of the DC140 project. After putting DC280 into operation work is carried out to optimise the injection conditions, select the parameters for the acceleration modes and beam extraction from the cyclotron.
