Seminar topic:Few-nucleon systems in the Bethe-Salpeter formalism”

Speaker: Sergey Bondarenko

Abstract:

The properties of few-nucleon systems are studied in the Bethe-Salpeter formalism. Separable kernel of the nucleon-nucleon interaction is used to solve the Bethe-Salpeter equation for the deuteron and Faddeev equation for three-nucleon systems. The obtained amplitudes are used to calculate electromagnetic form factors of deuteron, helium and tritium. Magnetic and quadrupole moments of the deuteron are also studied with exchange kernel of the interaction. A method for constructing the separable kernel with modified Yamaguchi functions in the relativistic case is described. The role and importance of relativistic eects is discussed.
