20th Century Archive. Basics

As part of the Archival Impulse Summer School by JINR, Higher School of Economics, and Archives of the Russian Academy of Sciences, everyone interested is invited to open lectures, public talks, and master classes. In particular, ten talks and master classes will take place at the JINR Museum of History of Science and Technology and at the JINR Universal Public Library.

Admission is free. The audience will learn:

  • how to make an archive inventory,
  • what to do with old photos,
  • what an archive has in common with the unconscious,
  • what is interesting about ephemeral plants,
  • what is common between an archive and a time capsule,
  • how to make an illustration or exhibition out of an archival document.
