Seminar topic: “Control of the LM-20 Testing Machine on the FSD Diffractometer of the IBR-2 Reactor in the Sonix+ software package”
Speaker: Tatyana Petukhova
Authors: Igor Papushkin, Tatyana Petukhova
Abstract:
The integration of control of the LM-20 Testing Machine into the Sonix+ software package is considered. The testing machine is installed on beamline 11 of the IBR-2 Reactor (FSD Fourier stress diffractometer) to study samples under external load (±125 kN) and at high temperatures (up to 800 °C) in in situ mode in a neutron beam.

Seminar topic: “Refactoring the SpectraViewer program for visualising spectra at the facilities of the IBR-2 Reactor”
Speaker: Andrey Kirilov
Authors: Liubov Truntova, Andrey Kirilov
Abstract:
In 2022-2025, a complete refactoring of the SpectraViewer program was carried out, simplifying support and development of new functions, and eliminating identified errors. Both the visual elements of the application and the main libraries used have been updated. The program is available as a component of the Sonix GUI, as well as a separate application that does not require the installation of Sonix+. This version can be used on both 32-bit and 64-bit platforms. The program is written using Python 3.7. The interface is based on the PyQt5 framework, with Matplotlib 3 used for data visualisation and the NumPy package for data processing.
