This seminar is dedicated to boron, an element of life, a metalloid that is at the centre of attention of modern science and applied research. Boron and its compounds play an important role in various areas such as nucleosynthesis, nuclear fusion and fission technologies, military science, radiation protection, contorl systems, nuclear medicine, and life sciences. The speaker will discuss experimental studies on the interaction of neutrons with the ¹⁰B and ¹¹B isotopes. Special attention will be paid to the need for obtaining new, more reliable, and credible neutron-nuclear data, including those which are gained as part of the TANGRA International Research Project.
