Seminar topic: “Quantum algorithms in data analysis, control systems, and education”

Speaker: Olga Ivantsova

Abstract:

The current state of quantum computing requires rapid research in the field of development of technologies with high applied potential. The seminar is devoted to applied aspects of quantum computing. A modular approach to developing hybrid quantum-classical circuits for data pipeline processing and analysis based on template composition using the PennyLane framework is presented. In the context of control systems, the experience of modelling quantum fuzzy inference for an intelligent control system for cooling the current inputs of the measuring arm of the NICA Accelerator Complex booster is highlighted, where the coordination of the operation of five valves is carried out using 30-qubit modelling on the Govorun supercomputer. The speaker will discuss the development of an educational methodology that can lower the barrier to entry into the field of quantum computing and develop quantum programming skills using high-level software frameworks and interactive visualisation tools in the training of applied scientists.
