Seminar topic: “Baryon mass and spin from Lattice QCD and its systematic uncertainties”

Speaker: Yi-Bo Yang (Institute of Theoretical Physics, Chinese academy of Sciences)

Abstract:

Mass and spin are basic property of particles while are highly non-trivial for the baryons due to the non-perturbative nature of strong interaction. I will introduce our recent efforts to understand the decomposition of baryon mass and spin into their components through the QCD energy momentum tensor, and also investigation on the control of systematic uncertainties from finite lattice spacing, spacial size, unphysical quark mass, and also QED effects.
