This talk will focus on the use of trapped-ion quantum computers. The first part will provide a brief overview of the fundamental concepts of quantum computing, while the second part will be dedicated to the specific features of trapped-ion systems. The speakers will describe the basic operational principles of trapped-ion quantum computers, methods for performing single and two-qubit gates, and the typical parameters of such processors. Particular attention will be paid to the trapped-ion quantum computer developed as part of the Quantum Computing roadmap and working at the Lebedev Physical Institute. Its characteristics and distinctive features will be detailed, along with examples of implemented quantum algorithms.
