1. Seminar topic: “Scientific and Technological Accelerator Department: progress and plans”

   Speaker: Vasily Semin

   Abstract:
   

   The talk presents information on the Scientific and Technological Accelerator Department. The speaker will provide a brief overview of the employees and the work of the operational accelerators, discuss the progress of the ongoing projects “Modernisation of MC-400”, “Creation of the AC DC-140 for applied tasks” and “Modernisation of the U-400 into the U-400R”, and outline plans.

2. Seminar topic: “Measuring the extraction time of recoil nuclei from a cryogenic gas ion cooling cell”

   Speaker: Alexey Novoselov

   Abstract:
   

   A facility for precision mass measurement of superheavy elements with a resolution of M/dM~10⁶ is being created at FLNR at JINR. The facility consists of a cryogenic gas ion cooling cell and a multi-reflectance time-of-flight mass spectrometer. It was proposed to be located at one of the outputs of the GRAND Gas-Filled Separator. The speaker will discuss some aspects of the preparation for test trials that will include measuring the extraction time of recoil nuclei from a cryogenic gas ion cooling cell.
