Abstract:
In even Xe isotopes the interaction of collective states mainly consisting of low-energy quadrupole phonons and uncollective states including high spin phonons is considered. Calculations are implemented for yrast-states with spin Iπ18+ in boson approximation. In isotopes with A⩽120 a smooth replacement of collective states on uncollective ones takes place that leads to gradual alteration of B(E2) with spin increase. Contrary to this, in isotopes with A⩾122 a sharp transition from collective to uncollective bands, i.e. band crossing is realized and corresponding B(E2) decreases substantially.
