Speaker: Avazbek Nasirov

Abstract:

A theoretical method based on the concept of a di-nuclear system is discussed. This method allows one to estimate the contributions of quasi- fission products with mass numbers coinciding with the mass-asymmetric fission products of a compound nucleus. For the first time, an explanation was given for the observed nonlinearity in the dependence of the half-width of the mass distribution in the fusion-fission process on the collision energy in the 28Si+197Au and 30Si+197Au reactions at certain values of this energy. This change in the shape of the mass distribution of quasi-fission products from energy explains the absence of quasi-fission yield with these mass numbers, since they are mixed with the products of other channels.
