Seminar topic: «Extended de Sitter Gravity and the dark side of the Universe»
Speaker: Branko Dragovich (Institute of Physics, University of Belgrade; Mathematical Institute of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts)
Abstract
I will present an extended model of de Sitter gravity and consider the problem of Dark Energy (DE) and Dark Matter (DM) in its framework. To this end, I will start with Standard Model of Cosmology (SMC), point out some its problems and introduce a simple extended model of de Sitter gravity. Then, I will present some exact cosmological solutions for the scale factor a(t) and discuss one of these scale factors, which mimics DE and DM with good agreement with SMC. According to this de Sitter gravity model, DE is related to the cosmological constant Lambda, DM emerges as a result of modified theory of gravity.
