Seminar topic: “Study of transport phenomena in quark-gluon plasma within lattice simulation”

Speaker: Victor V. Braguta

Abstract:

This report will present the latest results from studies of transport phenomena in quark-gluon plasma, which were obtained in the framework of lattice simulation of QCD. In particular, it is planned to present recent results for shear and bulk viscosities, detailed description of the calculation procedure as well as technical difficulties that are encountered by lattice groups who carry out such calculations. In addition to the study of the viscosities, it will be discussed the results of the calculation of electric conductivity in a quark-gluon plasma in a magnetic field. The results show that in quark-gluon plasma in a magnetic field it is possible to observe the Chiral Magnetic effect in conductivity parallel to magnetic field and the magnetoresistance in a perpendicular to the magnetic field direction.
