Аннотация:

Presentation gives an overview about selected research topics under solution at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (FME) of the Czech Technical University (CTU) in Prague. Topics were selected with respect to the scope of engineering problems that JINR laboratories could tackle with during development of new research facilities. There are presented engineering topics of the two departments of the CTU FME. The Department of Designing and Machine Elements presents its experience in mechanical structures design supported with Finite Elements (FEM) analysis and optimization. There is also presented experimental verification of the validity of the structure design and numerical simulation with strain gauge measurement performed on the physical models or completed product. The Department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering presents three topics related to design and optimization of measurement systems. In the first part is presented experience with design of complex opto-mechanical measurement instruments even with ability to produce fine structures by electro-discharge (EDM) technique. Such opto-mechanical systems can be used e.g. to measure vacuum vessels deformation with holography technique. Next experience with high speed motors design and own developed high frequency and power electronics and control algorithms is presented. The last part presents general system mathematical-physical analysis and identification for the system control and optimization by the CFD modeling e.g. cooling (heat and mass transfer, fluid flows, diffusion processes).
