Seminar topic: «Measurement of the elemental composition of the Martian soil model by the tagged neutron method»

Speaker: P. K. Kurilkin (LLC “Diamant”)

Abstract:

The results of measurements of the elemental composition of the Martian soil model by the tagged neutron method are discussed. The measurements were carried out by the DNT detector, which consists of an ING-27 neutron generator with an alpha detector for 9 channels and a system of 24 BGO-based gamma detectors. As a model of the Martian soil, materials presented on the experimental stand on nuclear planetology of the FLNP and LRB JINR were investigated.
