“Arab world of 2020s: search for new unities” lecture

On Friday, 29 March 2024, at 4:30 PM, the JINR Scientists’ Club invites everyone interested to the “The Arab world of the 2020s: the search for new unities” lecture.

Vasily Kuznetsov, deputy director for scientific work of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, head of the Centre for Arab and Islamic Studies of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, associate professor of the Faculty of World Politics of Lomonosov Moscow State University will read the lecture.

The key concepts: the lecture will discuss how the concepts of the Middle East, Western Asia, and the Arab world are interconnected; how united this world is today; what are the vectors of its political, economic, and cultural transformation; what place it occupies in modern world politics and economics; how its connections with other regional spaces are changing; what the opportunities for developing relations between Russia and the states of the region are.
