On 15 April 2026, at 4:00 PM, the Association of Young Scientists and Specialists at JINR invites everyone interested to the next seminar that will take place in the Big Hall of the JINR Scientists’ Club (6 Joliot-Curie St, left side).
An oncologist, Candidate of Medicine Maxim Minaev will deliver the presentation titled “Personalised radiation therapy: at the intersection of medicine, biology, and physics”.
Usually, radiation therapy is based on the physical parameters of radiation; however, the tumour repair profile has a significant impact on radiosensitivity and relative biological efficacy. The project studies a theoretical approach to personalised radiotherapy, implemented through interdisciplinary collaboration of medicine, biology, and physics. This approach is based on consideration of DNA repair markers and the opportunity of their pharmacological modification.
To join the event on 15 April, please fill in the form via the link.
