On 29 April 2023, the JINR Universal Public Library will host the next Biblionight.
From 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM, many events will be held at the Biblionight. A street quest “Walking through fairy tales” for parents with children and for children from 10 years old will take place at 4:00 PM. The quest will start at the library and continue on the streets Leningradskaya, Kurchatova, Michurina, and the Mendeleev embankment. Duration: 1,5 hours. Participation by registration.
At 5:30 PM awarding of participants of the “In touch” project will be held.
At 7:00 PM, a literature quiz “Book Detective” for adults and teenagers from 12 years old will be held in the library annex. Duration: 1,5 hours. Participation by registration.
Biblionight events for adults will start at 6:00 PM.
From 6:00 PM, there will be next activities in the main hall:
- 6:00 PM – lecture on nonviolent communication;
- 7:30-8:50 PM — demonstrative theatrical debates “The development of communication technologies leads to degradation”;
- 9:00-10:00 PM – music: tom-tom language;
- 10:00-11:30 PM — music: classics language.
The activities in other library spaces include:
- 6:00-11:30 PM — games with game masters Artem Rusakovich and Nikita Basov;
- 6:00-11:30 PM — workshop on nonviolent communication;
- 6:30-7:30 PM – workshop on sketching;
- 7:00 PM — quests for introverts and extraverts “Compliment bucket” and “Meaning constructor”;
- 7:00-8:30 PM – training “Manipulation in business and personal communication”;
- 7:30-8:50 PM – literature game “Blackout poetry”;
- 8:00-9:00 PM — workshop by Blokhinka’s project “Engineering” and music installation by Daniil Polyak (“In touch” project);;
- 8:00-9:00 PM — Zoom fortune-telling by a book;
- 8:00-10:00 PM — excursions to the library’s archive;
- 9:00-10:00 PM — self communication in the process of meditation;
- quiet corner for introverts;
- exchange of indoor plants;
- book exchange;
- photozone.
At 6:00 PM, a lecture on nonviolent communication (NVC) will open the adult part of the Biblionight. The lecture topic is “Closeness. How to create an emotional connection with people and what destroys it?”. NVC coach, facilitator, and therapist Anastasia Klimenko (Moscow) will talk on how to use NVC to support loved ones, why connection with people breaks down, and how to prevent it. You will learn about the basic principles of NVC and have the opportunity to ask your questions.
You will be able to practice your NVC skills at the workshop “Empathy: The art of friendship” at 9:00 PM. Anastasia will give practice in acquiring new communication skills. Participation by registration.
At 6:30 PM, the artist Veronika Krolivets will hold a master class on drawing with alcohol markers using the sketch technique. Duration: 1 hour. Participation by registration. 12+.
A training “Manipulation in business and personal communication” by Oksana Pliskovskaya, psychologist, coach of speech technique and oratorical skills, speech therapist, will take place at 7:00 PM. Participation by registration.
At 9:00 PM, the psychologist and coach Natalya Mitkevich will conduct a master class on meditation “Peace inside and outside” (14+). Duration: 1 hour. Participation by registration.
At 9:00 PM, a concert “African drums as the oldest form of communication” will be held at the Biblionight. Listeners will hear traditional African rhythms on djembe drums.
At 10:00 PM, the pianist Yuliya Rogachevskaya will hold an event “Music Talk”. Yuliya will perform the works by J. S. Bach, С. Franck, N. Medtner, and V. Silvestrov, and will parse out meaning from this music.
At 10:00 PM, representatives of the tea club “Shèn chá” will give a lecture on the culture of consumption of Chinese tea, and will hold a tea ceremony in the master class room of the children’s section.
