On 20 April 2024, the JINR Universal Public Library will host the next Biblionight. The topic of the meeting is “Path to the East”.

Visitors can enjoy the following activities in the main hall:

1. “East-west” concert by the Dubna Children’s Music School;
2. lecture on fundamental physics in China and joint projects of Chinese and JINR scientists. Speaker: Alexey Zhemchugov, Deputy Head of the JINR Chief Scientific Secretary;
3. “Korean wave: secret of success” lecture. Speaker: Maria Osetrova, PhD in Korean Studies, Researcher at the Centre for Korean Studies of the Institute of China and Contemporary Asia of the Russian Academy of Sciences, “Reading and writing about Korea” Telegram channel author;
4. lecture “Terra incognita: How Central Asia was discovered and who is studying it now”. Speaker: Daria Saprynskaya, Researcher at the IAAS MSU, “Where is your hijab, sister?” Telegram channel author;
5. “Just a fairy tale” stand-up by the Rocket stand-up club (Dubna);
6. k-pop dances;
7. master class on wearing a sari to a Bollywood film sequence.

The activities in other library spaces include:

• literary entertainment in the style of hokku;
• workshops;
• tea ceremony;
• board games;
• reading poetry out loud;
• quiet corner for introverts;
• excursions to the library’s archive.
