Guttenberg’s Smoking Room is the format of meetings for a wide audience at which participants retell non-fiction books: documentaries or science-popular books on any knowledge field (except for religion, esotery, and politics). After each retelling, the audience may ask questions and make comments.
This time, the following books will be presented:
- Americans and Everyone Else: The Origins and Meaning of U.S. Foreign Policy, Ivan Kurilla. Presentation by Ilya Gapienko.
- Musicophilia: Tales of Music and the Brain, Oliver Sacks. Presentation by Lesya Mesyatseva.
- Read-Aloud Handbook, Jim Trelease. Presentation by Irina Egorova.
Tea and discussions will entertain participants between reports.
