«A Separation» (2011): Spouses Nader and Simin decide to leave Iran in search for a better life. But at one point, Nader decides to stay to care for his father, who has Alzheimer’s disease. Simin therefore files for divorce hoping to leave with their 11 year old daughter, but the family court rejects the application. The daughter, meanwhile, hopes her mother will change her mind and come back.
