Приглашаем Вас на курс лекций, состоящий из 6 семинаров по физике бозона Хиггса «Higgs mechanism in the Standard Model and beyond». Семинары пройдут 1-3 ноября и 8-10 ноября 2016 г. с 10:00 до 12:00 конференц-зале Лаборатории ядерных проблем.

Темы семинаров 1-3 ноября:
- Overview: electroweak theory and the role(s) of the Higgs mechanism. Hopes from bSM. Higgs mechanisms (insights into fermion properties, CP violation, FCNC). A very brief history.
- Abelian Higgs model: giving mass to the gauge boson; giving mass to the fermion, basic properties of the Higgs boson.
- Full electroweak theory and the Brout-Englert-Higgs mechanism:
- electroweak lagrangian before EWSB and symmetries,
- massive W and Z,
- the ρ-parameter and custodial symmetry,
- masses and mixing of fermions within SM,
- a brief outline of the SM Higgs boson properties.
