The JINR Universal Public Library invites everyone interested to the “Moscow-Volga Canal role in history of Dubna” lecture.

The lecturer is Lidiya Stezhenskaya, Doctor of Philology, Head of the Department of Asian Literatures at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, an orientalist and Sinologist.
The lecture is on the literature of China of the 20th — 21st centuries. The speaker will tell about the works of the founders of new literature in the first third of the 20th century, shows how literature developed after the formation of the PRC, and how Chinese literature began to talk about economics and personal interests in the mid-1980s, and how since the beginning of the 21st century, it has made Chineseness its brand.
