Shchegolev V.A. “The principle of optimality and magic numbers” Abstract A new concept of atomic nuclei stability is suggested. It’s based on the principle of optimality which allows to calculate nucleon magic numbers in the most stable nuclei. Experimental data confirm the concept verity. The received results are compared to the shell model of nucleus.
