From 27 to 31 July 2026, the Laboratory of Theoretical Physics at JINR will host the international Supersymmetry and Quantum Symmetries workshop (SQS’26). The event is organized by the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research. Registration is available until 30 June via the link on the Indico page.

The advisory board of the workshop includes scientists from Armenia, Australia, Brazil, Bulgaria, France, Greece, Italy, Russia, Serbia, United Kingdom, and USA.

The initiative to hold the biannual SQS workshops was introduced by an outstanding JINR theoretical physicist Victor Ogievetsky (1928-1996). The topics include scientific areas that were part of the founder’s research interests: string theory, quantum groups, grand unification theories, integrable systems, etc. This range of issues is still in the focus of attention of scientists actively working in modern theoretical high-energy and mathematical physics.

Topics of discussion at the SQS’26:

  1. string and higher-spin theories,
  2. quantum and geometric aspects of supersymmetric theories,
  3. supersymmetric integrable models,
  4. quantum groups and noncommutative geometry,
  5. the Standard Model and its supersymmetric extensions.

The previous event, the SQS’24, took place at JINR from 29 July to 3 August 2024.
