Registration for Wave 14 of INTEREST Programme opens
Education, 02 February 2026
From 2 March to 19 April 2026, the JINR University Centre will hold the Wave 14 of the INTEREST (INTernational REmote Student Training) online programme. The participants will work on selected projects under the supervision of scientists from the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research. The working language of the programme is English.
The registration deadline is on 19 February 2026.
Who can participate in the programme?
INTEREST is designed for young people under 31: undergraduates and postgraduates of scientific and technical specialties from around the world who are interested in participating in international scientific projects and gaining research experience.
What are the benefits of the programme?
The programme allows participants to get acquainted with the main research areas of JINR laboratories, establish professional contacts with scientific supervisors, gain experience working on real projects, and increase the chances of participating in om-site educational programmes of the Institute in the future.
How to apply?
The student chooses the research area they are interested in and submits an application for the corresponding project. The application must describe the student’s educational experience and their knowledge and skills related to the topic in as much detail as possible and be supplemented with a motivation letter. All applications are reviewed by the supervisors, and students are admitted based on their decision.
4-6 weeks are allocated for each stage, or wave, of the programme. At the end of each wave, students write reports on the work performed, which are published on the website after being approved by supervisors.
More details on the submission of applications and the placement of projects are available on the programme’s website. If you have any questions, please contact the team via interest@jinr.ru.
