Registration opens for Complex Systems and Advanced Materials International School

On 30 June – 4 July 2025, the Complex Systems and Advanced Materials International Theoretical Physics School will take place at the Bogoliubov Laboratory of Theoretical Physics. The event is organized by the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research as part of the Dubna International Advanced School of Theoretical Physics (DIAS-TH) scientific and educational project. Young scientists, postgraduates, and senior students are welcome to apply.

The topics of the school cover the following areas:

  • relevant magnetism issues;
  • Dirac and Weyl phases in crystals;
  • quantum transport in two-dimensional systems;
  • machine learning methods in condensed matter physics;
  • modelling at the atomic level;
  • renormgroup in condensed matter physics;
  • superconducting spintronics;
  • modern issues of statistical physics;
  • exciton physics.

The programme of the school includes lecture courses by leading specialists who are actively engaged in the areas mentioned above, and short 10-minute presentations by the participants. Oral presentations are required for participation of postgraduates and young scientists, and optional for senior students.

Registration is available until 1 June on the school’s website. The places are limited. The working language of the school is Russian.
