Dear colleagues,

We invite you to individual and team (2 persons) rapid chess tournament dedicated to the JINR Foundation Day. The competition will be held on 24 March 2018 (Saturday), in the Chess Hall (2nd floor) of the JINR Stadium “Nauka”. The beginning of the tournament is set at 11:00 AM. It is necessary to come in good time for registration. It is of special need for those who have not formed teams of 2 persons yet. It will be possible to form teams on-site.

We remind you that the ground floor of the Stadium building is being repaired now, and it is necessary to use underground floor to enter the 2nd floor (see the photo below).

The Regulation for competition has changed. The tournament will be held according to the Swiss-system tournament. Teams will consist of 2 persons as usually (there may be one odd player), but the meaning of the first and the second chessboards will be different: participants of the first one can compete with participants of the second one and vice versa. At the beginning of the tournament, referee Evgeny Aleksandrov will briefly explain the rules once again.
