The first meeting of the JINR Public Council of a new convocation is held today, on 8 June 2018 at 3:00 PM in the JINR Scientists’ Club.

Agenda:

1. Renovation of the Mendeleev embankment. Renovation of areas around the JINR objects.
   Speakers: M.N. Lepeshkina, D.B. Dridze (the BRT Rus architectural bureau).
2. Development of the Dubna urban complex.
   Speakers: M.N. Danilov, Head of the Dubna City Administration, N.A. Smirnov, Deputy Head of the Dubna City Administration
3. Miscellaneous.

According to the acting order of JINR, the powers of the first convocation of the JINR Public Council under the JINR Directorate on interaction with the local self-governing authorities have expired. Its first meeting was held on 5 September 2014, the Council included staff members known for their active civil position. Chairman of the Public Council Sergei Kulikov said in his letter to the colleagues that establishment of a new membership of the Council is under way now.

During work of the Public Council, the letter says, serious changes in the structure of local government of the city happened. Elections of Head of the City, Chairman of the Council of Deputies, a new composition of the Public Chamber of the City, Chairman of the Public Chamber and a number of other changes took place.
