From 24 February to 13 March 2026, the branch of the JINR Science and Technology Library at the Laboratory of High Energy Physics invites visitors to an exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Mikhailovich Baldin.
Alexander Baldin is a significant figure in global science. A pivotal figure in the development of relativistic nuclear physics, a talented teacher, and an outstanding organizer of research activities, he headed VBLHEP JINR for nearly 30 years, determining the laboratory’s development for decades to come.
Aiming to reveal the researcher’s multifaceted personality and contribution to science, the display features:
- Scientific works: books, collections of articles, and preprints reflecting key stages of Alexander Baldin’s studies;
- Publications on his life and work: materials about the scientist’s path and career;
- Memoirs: recollections of Alexander Baldin’s colleagues, friends, and students.
