The Joint Institute for Nuclear Research pays special attention to the promotion of scientific achievements: the Institute has developed a system of awards, among which annual awards for the best scientific papers and the recently established OGANESSON Award stand out.
OGANESSON Prize
The OGANESSON Prize named after Yu.Ts. Oganessian is an international scientific award, established in 2023 on the initiative of Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Yuri Tsolakovich Oganessian, after whom the 118th chemical element — oganesson — is named.
The aim of the prize is to support outstanding achievements in natural sciences and the popularization of science.
JINR Annual Award
The JINR Annual Awards are traditional internal awards of the Institute, presented for the best scientific, scientific-methodological and scientific-technical applied works carried out by JINR staff members.
