On 4 December 2019, a delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia visited the Joint Institute for the first time. The delegation was represented by Dr Sultan Alsagabi, Director of the Nuclear Science Research Institute (NSRI), Dr Nasser Alkhomashi, Head of the NSRI Consulting Committee, Dr Omar Alsager, NSRI Deputy Director, Dr Mohammed Almalki, a researcher of the NSRI National Centre for Accelerator Technologies. The delegation from Saudi Arabia arrived at Dubna accompanied by representatives of the JSC "Rusatom Overseas".
