Seminar topic: “Application of artificial intelligence to solving certain problems in atomic physics”

Speaker: Yuri Popov

Abstract:

At the request of experimentalists, the problem of single ionisation of the inner (2S, 2P) shell of an argon atom by a 2230 eV electron is examined within the symmetric kinematics of electron momentum spectroscopy (EMS). The theory is based on calculations performed within the framework of the single-electron Hartree-Fock model. Advanced artificial intelligence was employed for complex calculations and the analysis of results. The findings demonstrate the role of the outer shell as a medium that the ionised electrons must traverse.
