  1. Seminar topic: «Study of the differential cross section of the deuteron – proton elastic scattering at 1 – 2 GeV»

    Speaker: Terekhin A.A. (LHEP JINR)

    Abstract:

The study of the different observables in the reactions with deuteron at intermediate and high energies is necessary to understand of the nucleon-nucleon and three-nucleon interaction structure, relativistic effects role and the mechanism of manifestation of the fundamental degree of freedom.
(Seminar on dissertation materials for the degree of candidate of physical and mathematical sciences)

  2. Seminar topic: «Cumulative proton production in π + C interaction at 40 GeV/c and uncertainty principle»

Speaker: Baatar Ts. (Institute of Physics and Technology MAS, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia)

    Abstract:

In this report, we studied the cumulative proton production in π- + C interaction at 40 GeV/c. Cumulative protons in difference from noncumulative ones are produced at large values of the cumulative variable nc > 1 and in this region with increasing of the variable nc the energy of cumulative protons is increased. Experimentally obtained values of the cumulative proton energies are compared with the estimations obtained by the formula of the uncertainty principle. It was shown that the cumulative protons energies obtained by using the formula of the uncertainty principle are in agreement with the experimental results in the accuracy of less than ≈10%.
