News, 09 June 2025
On 8 June 2025, the 14th International Conference of Young Scientists and Specialists, Alushta-2025, organized by AYSS JINR, started at the Dubna Resort House in Alushta. This year’s participants are 56 representatives of Cuba, Egypt, India, Kazakhstan, Romania, Russia, and Vietnam.
AYSS Council Chair, Alushta-2025 Co-Chair Regina Kozhina and JINR Assistant Director for the Development of Biomedical Projects Grigory Shirkov gave speeches at the opening ceremony. JINR Director Grigory Trubnikov addressed the participants with welcome remarks. “The most important thing I see is the progress made by those who had participated in this conference ten years ago. Many of them are already deputy laboratory directors. This conference shows that AYSS is not only about science, but also about responsibility,” he noted.
This year’s youth conference in Alushta is dedicated to the Institute’s infrastructure and facilities, put into operation after maintenance or scheduled for launch: IBR-2, LINAC-200, NICA, and MSC-230, along with the upcoming work at the DC-280. The programme includes 7 lectures by invited speakers, more than 50 presentations by participants, and leisure activities.
The Alushta-2025 conference will last until 15 June. The working languages are Russian and English.
