On 28 October 2026, at 16:00, the Association of Young Scientists and Specialists at JINR invites everyone interested to the next seminar that will take place in the Big Hall of the JINR Scientists’ Club (6 Joliot-Curie St, left side).
VBLHEP leading engineer Ilya Shirikov will deliver a presentation “The International School of Engineering as a resource for solving JINR engineering problems”.
The speaker, Director of the International School of Engineering (ISE) of Dubna University, will tell how ISE students solve practical problems of different departments and laboratories of JINR. The guests will learn which types of tasks are best suited for student teams, how to formulate a technical assignment so that the result is applicable in a large project, and what metrics JINR engineers use to assess the quality of student solutions. Special attention will be paid to the mechanics of submitting a task: how to make a request, what introductory requirements are needed, how to arrange support and acceptance. The speaker will give examples of successful solutions already implemented in JINR projects. The seminar will be useful for heads of departments, leading engineers, and project supervisors who want to effectively use the potential of the student project pool.
