On 17 October, Chief Researcher at the Laboratory of Neutron Physics at JINR Evgeny Shabalin turns 90. He is an outstanding Soviet and Russian physicist, Doctor of Physics and Mathematics, and one of the key creators of the unique IBR and IBR-2 Pulsed Reactors. He received the USSR and Russian State Prizes. In addition to his fundamental studies, Evgeny Pavlovich authored memoirs and several works of fiction. These will be discussed at the meeting at the museum.
