The first two experiments were conducted at the Superheavy Element Factory in the Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions.
In November 2020, the first scientific experiment started on the synthesis of element 115 moscovium in the reaction of calcium-48 and americium-243. The experiment lasted for three weeks. Then, the second experiment began in which researchers conducted a 27-day run of flerovium synthesis in the reaction of calcium-48 with plutonium-242. 43 decay chains of flerovium-286 isotopes were synthesised.
