Abstract:

This year we celebrate the 150th anniversary of Mendeleev’s creation of the Periodic table of chemical elements. 2019 was proclaimed the International Year of the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements (IYPT) by the UN and UNESCO.

The programme of the seminar is also related to this event. The synthesis of new elements, study of their properties are today the most relevant scientific areas of physics of atomic nuclei and heavy atoms. Regarding the launch of the SHE Factory at JINR, the report will consider the further development of studies of superheavy elements at the border of the Periodic Table.
