On 19 September 2018, the first module of the heavy ion accelerator of the booster of the NICA project was moved from the test stand to the constrcution site in the Synchrophasotron building.
16 more modules are being prepared for it. By the end of the year, the laboratory plans to prepare for assembly other 47 modules at the accelerator.
