On 16 — 18 December 2008, Minister of Economy of Armenia Nerses Yeritsyan visited JINR. In his interview minister marked several purposes of a visit. The intention of Armenia to construct Nuclear Medic Center became one of the main issues at the meeting with the JINR Directorate. Cooperation possibilities between JINR and Armenia in this area were discussed in this connection. The Minister of Economy of Armenia took an active interest in the possibility of the experience exchange in the field of applied research. Also during the meeting the issue of organization with JINR of round tables and forumes, which would help Armenia to realize its scientific potential, was discussed.
