Seminar topic: “Gluodynamics in accelerated frames via first-principle lattice simulation”
Speaker: Jayanta Dey
At this seminar, I will present our findings on accelerated gluodynamics formulated in Rindler spacetime at finite temperature, investigated via first-principles lattice simulations. The system is probed using the Polyakov loop and its associated susceptibility, which are properly renormalized in accordance with the Rindler geometry. We demonstrate that under uniform acceleration, the confinement-deconfinement phase transition of SU(3) Yang-Mills theory manifests as a spatial crossover. The spatial configuration of the confined and deconfined phases is consistent with the Tolman-Ehrenfest (TE) law. Furthermore, we measure the free energy of a static quark and its effective mass due to acceleration. Our results demonstrate that in strongly interacting matter, corrections to the TE law are necessary, and this effect becomes particularly prominent at higher temperatures.
