The Joint Institute for Nuclear Research invites everyone interested to take part in the Modern Problems of Condensed Matter Theory international conference. The event will take place at the Bogoliubov Laboratory of Theoretical Physics at JINR from 13 to 17 July 2026.

The topics cover a wide range of theoretical and experimental areas of condensed matter physics:

  • digital materials science;
  • transport phenomena in nanostructures;
  • quantum and low-dimensional magnetism;
  • superconducting and magnetic hybrid structures;
  • methods of quantum field theory in complex systems;
  • contemporary problems of statistical physics;
  • optical and spin phenomena in semiconductors;
  • physics of low-dimensional materials;
  • topology in strongly correlated systems;
  • modern experimental studies.

The programme includes plenary talks and oral sectional presentations, along with a poster session. The conference materials will be published in a peer-reviewed journal.

The event is organized by the Laboratory of Theoretical Physics at JINR. The programme committee includes representatives of BLTP JINR, Ioffe Physical-Technical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Nikolaev Institute of Inorganic Chemistry of the RAS Siberian Branch, Stepanov Institute of Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, and other research centres.

The registration is available on the conference page on Indico until 15 May 2026. Please note that the number of participants is limited. The working languages of the conference are English and Russian. For any inquiries, please e-mail cmt@theor.jinr.ru.
