The Dubna Branch of the Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) announced the opening of enrolment for master’s courses in physics, applied mathematics, and computer science. The students will have the chance to work at the JINR laboratories under the supervision of the Institute’s leading researchers. The deadline for submitting documents for the first year of study is 10 August 2026.
Two MSc programmes are available at the branch this year, each offering 10 state-funded and 10 fee-based places:
- physics – Particle Physics, Fundamental and Applied Nuclear Physics;
- applied mathematics and computer science – Data Processing Methods and Technologies in Heterogeneous Computing Environments.
The course provides the opportunity to engage in theoretical and experimental studies in nuclear physics, particle physics, computing, online modelling of megascience experiments, and related fields at the JINR laboratories. Students conduct research in teams of scientists, work in world-class projects, and represent MSU and JINR at international and Russian conferences.
Applicants must provide a bachelor’s degree certificate and pass entrance examination. Those enroling into physics programmes will take the exam on 11 August 2026; the Applied Mathematics and Informatics exam will take place on 15 August. The testing will be preceded by consultations. Video recordings of the 2025 consultations are posted on the branch’s VK page.
Information for applicants is available on the website of the Dubna Branch of the Lomonosov Moscow State University. For any inquiries, please contact the admission committee by +7 (496) 214-74-21 or e-mail to priem@msu.dubna.ru.
