The Innovations and Intellectual Property Department, together with the Association of Young Scientists and Specialists of JINR, is preparing to launch the second competition of research & development projects with high potential for implementation in industry, scientific instrumentation, and the social sphere.
Teams of young developers from the JINR Member States are invited to participate. The team may include scientists, specialists, postgraduates, and students. The planned project execution period is 2–3 years.
The initiative aims to support projects aimed at creating innovative products: materials, devices, instruments, software, services, and other solutions with the prospect of practical application.
Proposed developments can align with the following areas:
- radiation technology;
- accelerator equipment;
- equipment and technology for medicine and laboratory diagnostics;
- information technology and artificial intelligence;
- control in technical systems, automation, and robotics;
- scientific instrument design;
- nuclear medicine;
- ecology, sustainable development, and climate change;
- new materials;
- chemical technology;
- biotechnology and food safety;
- energy storage and future energy systems.
The application evaluation criteria are: the prospects of the proposed solution, the possibility of increasing its technology readiness level, the availability of conditions for successful technology transfer and potential partners in the field, as well as intellectual property protection issues. Particular attention will be paid to the project’s significance for the development and effective use of JINR’s scientific infrastructure and competencies in international, inter-laboratory, and interdisciplinary developments.
Five teams of scientists won the previous competition, which took place in 2025. Each team received the funding of 4 million roubles per year to create an innovative product.
To participate this year, applicants must contact the organizers by email (rozhkov@jinr.ru or iflensky@jinr.ru) and complete the registration form by 17 August.
