First stage of Federal Data Processing Centre of Federal Tax Service opened

News, 27 May 2015

On 26 May 2015, Dubna hosted a festive opening ceremony of the first stage of the Federal Data Processing Centre of the Tax Service of Russia, the first out of three super-powerful Centres planned to be created in the country (two others are in Gorodets and Volgograd). The centre was built in the territory adjacent to the right-bank site of the Special Economic Zone “Dubna”.

The opening ceremony was attended by First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Igor Shuvalov, Minister of Finance of Russia Anton Siluanov, Head of the Federal Tax Service of Russia Mikhail Mishustin, Governor of the Moscow region Andrey Vorobyev and Head of Dubna Vyacheslav Mukhin.

It should be reminded that the “time capsule” that marked the beginning of the construction of the Centre in Dubna was laid in May 2013, two years passed before the first stage of the Centre was put into operation. It is a fairly short period. So, answering the question of journalists on what the construction of data processing centres will give to an ordinary taxpayer, Mikhail Mishustin said:

– The first thing is the extraterritorial provision of the same services to all the taxpayers, no matter where they are: in Kamchatka, in the Moscow region, in Moscow or in any other region of Russia. At the same time, they will have access to their data even if they move. The second thing is that such data centralization eliminates errors, and even if there is an error in the data somehow administrated by the Tax Service, it is much easier to fix it in one Centre. Thirdly, it provides the efficiency of administration, which can quickly give information access to both tax inspectors and colleagues from 15 other departments.

The Head of the Federal Tax Service of Russia highlighted at the opening of the first stage of the new Centre on 26 May 2015:

– This structure is the third generation of the tax information processing system that uses cloud computing technology and processing of big data, as well as the latest analytical and search systems.

Governor of the Moscow region Andrey Vorobyev said in his turn that the Federal Data Processing Centre in Dubna provides about 100 highly qualified working places. “Dubna has all the necessary infrastructure and personnel. It is a pleasure that the Centre has been constructed here,” the Governor noted.
