At the meeting of leaders of JINR national groups

On 13 November 2014, a wide range of questions from preparation to meetings of the JINR Finance Committee and Committee of Plenipotentiaries on out to issues related to employee benefits for staff members of the JINR Directorate and improvement of their living conditions in Dubna was considered at the meeting of leaders of JINR national groups headed by Wladislaw Chmielowski.
W. Chmielowski proposed to resume the tradition of joint celebration of the Christmas holidays with participation of all national groups: to hold the Christmas Eve and feast of St. Nicholas in early December in the cafe "Grill". This year Polish staff members are ready to introduce their national traditions. Other national groups will be the organizers of such celebrations in the future.
The majority of participants of the meeting attended the discussion of issues related to employee benefits for staff members of the JINR Directorate. Since the attractiveness of the Institute for employees from the JINR Member States and first of all for youth largely depends on the solution of these questions, it was suggested that these issues should be discussed together with leaders and experts of the JINR financial governing bodies, to develop the recommendations of the meeting of leaders of national groups for the JINR Directorate.
E.M. Molchanov spoke about plans of the JINR weekly newspaper "Dubna: science, community, progress" on preparation for the 60th anniversary of JINR. He addressed the participants of the meeting with a request to join this work.
